Style and Colour: Raspberry beer aged in oak barrels.
Taste: Fruity, but dry and slightly acidic, with a strong presence of raspberries (200 gr per litre!)
Alcohol: 6.5 % ABV
Drinking Temperature: 4 - 6° C
Fermentation: The Moravian wild ales are brewed and matured among the vineyards of the Mikulov region. After a period of open fermentation, the strain of “wild creatures” achieve flavours resembling forest fruits and wine. The resulting beer is aged for several months in oak barrels, blended and then refermented in the bottle.
The Brewery: Jitka tasted her first spontaneous beer in Belgium back in 2011 and immediately fell in love. Being a winemaker herself and with her husband running a small local brewery, it was not long before Jitka decided to combine these two worlds to found the Wild Creatures Brewery.
Food: Excellent as an aperitif or to accompany a dessert.
