When drinking beer, the Bigger, the Better!

When drinking beer, the Bigger, the Better!

Drinking beer in large bottles of 75cl is so much better for many various reasons.

Here are 5 benefits to select 75cl beer bottles instead of smaller sizes like 33cl or 25cl.

1) The Quality is higher: with the refermentation in the bottle, the carbonation levels are better (and natural); also larger bottles enable a better distribution of the live yeast; and as a result you get more complex aromas, thus higher quality.

2) The very top craft beers are only available in 75cl. The top breweries like Cantillon or 3 Fonteinen will never provide their beers in smaller bottles than 75cl, because they aim to keep the highest quality. All high quality beers aged in barrels are bottled in 75cl, like Bush de NuitsGouden Carolus Cuvée Van de Keiser or Puregnac, or the Swiss beers from A Tue TêteL'Apaisée or Chien Bleu breweries. All champagne style beers are also bottled in 75cl only, like Deus Brut des Flandres or Malheur Brut. So if you want to taste the best beers in the world, look for the 75cl!

3) The majority of the beers in 75cl with cork can be stored for several years in your cellar (some up to 20 years!), which is not the case for smaller bottles with caps, and beer cans.

4) You can share 75cl bottles with friends and family, with a nice dinner. 75cl beer bottles are sexy and festive. Popping a cork sets the scene of a friendly and cosy atmosphere. You go through the ritual of opening a 75cl bottle and create this "togetherness" that comes with a nice dinner, with the sound "pop", and the elegant bottles of 75cl.

5) 75cl bottles are very nice present, much nicer than a 6-packs of cans or smaller bottles.

Some sad spirits will tell me that it is sometimes too big and that they prefer to open a small 33cl bottle. Just consider that a 75cl is only 2 glasses of 37.5 cl. So 2 persons are enough to open a 75cl.

If you spend a whole evening with beer, aren't you going to have a second drink?

But always drink in moderation!
