Style and Colour: Dark brown-red
Taste: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness, followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.
Alcohol: 8.5 % ABV
Drinking Temperature: 6 - 8 °C
Fermentation: Top-fermented beer that re-ferments in the bottle.
The Brewery: De Huyghe brewery is in Melle close to Ghent in Belgium. Founded in 1654 by the family Huyghe.
Food: Ideal with stewed meat dishes
