Style and Colour: Beer‑wine hybrid
Taste: The Trebbiano grapes dominate, giving a wine‑like acidity and fruit flavours (citrus, tart apricot, yellow plum). The underlying lambic base adds sour complexity, with touches of toasted malt and mild herbal notes.
Alcohol: 6.5 % ABV
Drinking Temperature: 8-10 °C
Fermentation: Aged lambic base beer that macerates with a chosen grape variety. For the 2022 edition, they used Trebbiano d’Abruzzo — white wine grapes from Italy known for bright acidity and floral aromas.
The Brewery: Brewery De Ranke has been founded in 1930.
Food: Pairs well with dishes that pair well with crisp white wine, like seafood and shellfish, salads with citrus or vinaigrette dressings, goat cheese or other mild, tangy cheeses.
